WHO WE ARE |

Launched in 1978, Blue Heron Gallery displays an extensive collection of
representational contemporary art in a range of mediums, including oil, egg
tempera, watercolor, pastels, acrylic, photography, etchings, sculpture and
limited edition prints. The gallery maintains an impressive roster of
award-winning artists from around the United States, many of whom have been
displaying their work here for years.
Owner Roy Thurston is especially proud of the relaxed atmosphere that
pervades this light, open gallery, which has exhibit areas on two floors.
Believing that art should be accessible and not intimidating, Roy's
welcoming ambiance is an important quality of the gallery. Open Mother's
Day weekend through the middle of October, Blue Heron hosts artists'
receptions on most Saturday evenings in July and August (please see the SHOW
SCHEDULE), offering new art and the opportunity to meet the artist.
